The Ninja, also called “The Shadow Warrior”, literally meaning “the man who hides himself”, is certainly one of the most fearsome characters of the Japanese Feudal period. In comparison with the Samurai the Ninja, an extremely dangerous warrior, fought using all possible methods and weapons to carry out his mortal mission. The Ninjas were involved in all kinds of wars, most of the time acting as spies, killers or terrorists. Nobody could take shelter from the Ninja. Almost no one could survive to the scrupulously prepared missions and attacks of a Ninja. This incredibly clever warrior, if necessary, killed every person on the way between him and his prey. He solved every kind of mission with an extremely high accuracy. 2
A Z-grade international cast fumbles its way through a tiresome series of action movie clich?s (impotent wealthy farmer and his frustrated wife ask their Ninja friend to defend them from ruthless oil baron and his incompetent hoods), with the characters mouthing appallingly clumsy lines in a startling variety of post-dubbed accents (’Why is Hasegawa so frustrated?’ - ‘Because it’s the twentieth century’). With monotonous regularity the story pauses for graceless and unexciting fight scenes, complete with incessant death gurgles and bone-creaking, or for banal cod-Zen philosophising and rituals. Even on the level of unintentional humour this fails to entertain: the mark of a truly dreadful movie. 1

June 11,2008 - Team Ninja has spent a lot of time refining the Ninja Gaiden series to ensure that fans will be pleased with the latest offering and enjoy everything that has made the series such a success over the years. Ninja Gaiden II hopes to give fans all of that and so much more. While that sentiment could be true to some degree, there are a few nuisances that cause this game to fall a bit short in terms of playability. 4
The manager told police that he was watching the two men on security cameras breaking into the pharmacy. Video surveillance shows the men, wearing dark clothing, masked hats and gloves, smashing an entry door and prying open the inner door, police said. 3
The video first shows an attempt by two men to kick the door in. When that is unsuccessful, they try again in unison with three men taking a running start at the door. They leap and land kicks on the door, but it still fails to give way. 5
Ninja Gaiden II plays out similarly to its predecessor but with a few minor tweaks and a story that makes relevant sense. A rogue ninja is out to stop you and will do anything it takes to take you down while you find clues hidden in your past as to who this ninja truly is and what his motives are. It’s a highly straightforward story that will get lost as soon as the action boils on screen, and you will often find yourself wondering why there is a story to begin with, considering it is so nonessential to the overall excitement the game delivers. 6
Surveillance video showed two women dressed in black gear robbing Sunoco on Route 8 in Richland Township in September. The pair carried weapons and took money, cigarettes and lottery tickets, police said. 7
Of course the battle system has been upgraded to fully take advantage of the fast-paced action and 360 controllers. Although the typical action games utilize all of the buttons and analog sticks, Ninja Gaiden II simplifies matters by only having players perform two basic attacks, a jump, and block actions. You can hold down either of the attack buttons for stronger moves, and pushing the analog stick in different directions offers more acrobatic feats and death-defying moves. The right trigger button’s sole purpose relies on blocking, and taking full advantage of this implement is the key to survival in such a brutal game. The controls never get too hard to manage in tight spots or even on the harder difficulties, but there are moments when mashing down on the controller with dozens of enemies present is still a viable option for completion. 8
Frustration at anything other than the gamers own ineptitude will probably be directed at the third person camera that Ninja Gaiden sports. The truth of the matter that this is the only perceptible nick in an otherwise shining surface, and it’s really not the fault of the game rather than the entire genre, since the good people at Team Ninja did their best and provided a highly functional and practical camera. For some people that’s not a good enough excuse, so if you’re one of the people that shun games because they’re in third person, then you’re going to miss out on a corker of an action game, you poor, poor, misguided soul. 9
