Crystal Sky Pictures has managed to get 200 million for 5 movies. Castlevania, an unnamed sequel to Hard Boiled (which inspired John Woo’s Stranglehold), and a celluloid version of Pac-Man. It will be produced by Steven Paul, who produced Ghost Rider and Bratz. 2
Despite the fact that video game-inspired films have not yet attained either critical or financial success, the film industry still believes in them enough to invest some serious cash in upcoming game-based projects. Producer Steven Paul, who has brought movie audiences recent gems such as Ghost Rider and Bratz, announced that his production company, Crystal Sky Pictures, has managed to bring in $200 million to help fund five films. These include Castlevania, an unnamed sequel to Hard Boiled (which inspired John Woo’s Stranglehold), and a celluloid version of Pac-Man. 1

Film production company Crystal Sky Pictures has secured a $200 million theatrical slate financing deal with Grosvenor Park, according to a report by Hollywood trade magazine Variety. The deal covers five features, including movie adaptations for Konami’s video game series Castlevania and Namco’s Pac-Man. 4
Also in development by Crystal Sky are adaptations of beat-’em-up Tekken and Castlevania, the latter being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the filmmaker responsible for Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil being brought to the big screen. 3
Pac-Man is a different story. The ghosts are programmed for randomness, so there isn’t a pattern that exists to beat it-the ghosts behave differently in each game. But there is one technique that will earn a player an incredible amount of points [called] “Grouping.” If you can induce the ghosts to move close to one another, you can stay alive and get 1,600 points when you gobble them near a power pill. This is the story of three guys from Montana who got together and figured out how to give Ms[.] Pac-Man a beating she’ll never forget. 5
This short film is 100% instant win. Imagine a Pac-Man horror flick where the ghosts are the protagonists being picked off one-by-one. The build-up of suspense at the end is amazingly executed. This one?s an action flick where Pac-Man is? 6
